Well, even if it was not properly achieved in reality, the message behind the Soviet Union was one of people working together, without the motivation of becoming rich to make a better world. I think that's a really good message. You know - "Дружбы народов надёжный оплот!"

It's a very nice tune (hence you guys re-using it!) and I think the lyrics represent an idea of friendship and selflessness that you don't see today.
