Not that I've heard of. It could be different to each person.

I watch A LOT of anime, but it's the same as someone who watch a lot of tv shows on netflix, CBS...

My life is completely normal. I have job, a beautiful girlfriend, hang out with friends and go to college, and so do a lot of people who watch anime or read manga.

Well, as I said, the word otaku, in brazil, is not used to described someone who has problems to socialize or something like that.

Lets say you're a NBA fan. Got it? Otaku is "the same thing" here, but for anime
